I claimed coverage.

You Don’t Have to Wait for Care

Ensuring a healthy pregnancy requires regular visits to a healthcare provider, and getting these visits covered by insurance can help reduce the financial burden of quality health care. Under a program called Presumptive Eligibility for Pregnant Women (PE-PW), a woman who is likely to qualify for Medicaid can get immediate access to health coverage while her full Medicaid application is being processed. This removes one of the barriers to early prenatal care, enabling women to get their pregnancies off to a healthy start.

To apply for PE-PW, women can fill out a Health Care application at any DHS office, online at Access.Arkansas.gov, or by phone at 1-855-372-1084.
