Transitional Employment Assistance (TEA): Support for Growing Families

The Transitional Employment Assistance (TEA) program offers temporary financial support and employment-related services to eligible low-income families with children (under age 18) so they can meet basic needs while working toward self-sufficiency.

TEA Provides

  • Monthly Cash Assistance
  • Job Search and Job Readiness Activities
  • Transportation Assistance
  • Childcare Assistance

TEA Qualifications

  • Must be Arkansas residents with limited income and resources
  • Must have a dependent child under 18 in the household

Adults typically engage in work, training or education activities as part of the program’s goal to promote long-term stability. For eligible families, TEA can serve as short-term cash assistance and structured financial help.

By combining financial assistance with employment support, TEA offers meaningful financial help and practical tools to build long-term economic stability while caring for children.
